There isn't a higher resolution, because Apple Lossless is lossless. The clue is in the name. A few of us told you the same thing in your last thread (including me), which was asking more or less the same question in a different way. You're not going to get a different answer, because the answer we keep giving you is indisputably correct. Except in the eyes of some nutcases who are just kidding themselves and who will try to beat you to their level of insanity.

No problem. Just take it as read that no matter whether you rip a CD as WAV, Apple Lossless or FLAC it's going to sound the same unless the player (software or hardware) is broken.

I'm hoping someone can explain I looked at the properties of some of my tunes saved in Apple Lossless and I noticed that the bit rates are different form tune to tune why is this...having said that some are above 1000 kbps !

Very simplistically it depends on the complexity of the song (the data complexity not the actual music itself). The bit rate is more a measure of the compression that has been achieved.

you're still not truly convinced are you lol.. Just accept that FLAC and Apple Lossless are the equivalents of Winzip or Rar (etc) tailored for music, ie they truly are lossless codecs. I even proved it once in a previous thread using Audacity.
