I enjoyed that when it came out. Was this Kidman's first major role as her career seemed to take off after this?Bangkok Hilton - an old Aussie mini-series with Nicole Kidman, Denholm Elliott and Hugo Weaving. Dated but enjoyable, though the soundtrack seems to come from a poorly-aligned VHS tape...

Saw some of those recently. Hilarious in it's time but, a bit dated now. Or maybe I'm just too old now.Currently watching Kenny Everett Video Show on That's TV.
To be honest, half of it isn't very funny, the other 50% is hilarious.
He had famous pop and rock stars queueing up to appear. How they managed to keep a straight face is beyond meSaw some of those recently. Hilarious in it's time but, a bit dated now. Or maybe I'm just too old now.
Depends how you define major. I’d probably say Days of Thunder, but I saw BMX Bandits at the cinema in 83. My Mum worked there so I saw lots of mediocre that I wouldn’t have paid to see.. Salute of the Jugger is the only film I’ve ever walked out of.Had to look it up, but that and Dead Calm were both '89.
