Watched Hugo with the family this afternoon, what a wonderful film. Even better that is was a film honering the film maker George Melies (which i didnt know to start and only clicked through the film) and centered on his film Le Voyage Dans La Lune that got re-released last year which Air done the soundtrack which is an amasing album and suits the old film perfectly.

Watched it last night. Will probably watch again. (So much can get missed.) The dog and the inspector were perfectly matched. (Although the dog was possibly the better actor!)

The child actors weren't nauseating which was a big bonus!

All three films over the weekend. SQ is excellent on all 3, PQ is a little disappointing on the first one though.

Went to see "Cabin in the Woods" at the weekend:O

Can`t remember the last time i enjoyed a movie so much.

Read some reviews and gave it a go, this is a "Major Twist" to the horror genre . Without spoiling it, it has something for everyone in it (if your over 15) , humor , horror and thriller.

If you can put up with the Chomping, Chewing, Slurping & Wrapper Rustling ( see seperate thread) then i can recommend it.

BBC 4s The Bridge another Scandinavian cop/murder series. This one set in Sweden and Denmark. First 2 parts off BBC HD. Let's hope they show the rest in HD, unlikely knowing the Beeb.
My foreign language skills not improving.
The cops must be well paid in Sweden as she drives around in a Porsche.

But it is an old one!

We watched it too. Not sure if we're enjoying it as much as 'Inspector Montalbano' which was being aired in this slot until a week ago..... But maybe we're just missing the Sicilian sunshine.

We tried Montalbano but couldn't get on with it somehow. We have enjoyed the previous 2 scandinavian series we've watched. The Killing & Those Who Kill but missed Borgen (think it was called that). Perhaps we prefer weirdish female cops.
