Hello,
I know there are similar threads, I have read most of them but didn't reach any conclusion. I am looking to replace my system (old Cambridge Audio A5 + Energy CB-20s) with the Dali Zensor 3 plus a matching amp that I have yet to find.
I am looking at the standard options Marantz (5004), Rotel, Cambridge Audio (Topaz M5 for cheap), NAD C316BEE and Yamaha (a-s500) options but I any specific recommendations from people that have the Zensor 3 and have experimented are more than welcome. I am probably going for a relatively budget-y option for now and I am also thinking older good amps if I can find them used, or stick with the M5 till I have some more cash and get something better.
Also, has anyone else had the CB-20s and the Zensor 3? I am hoping it will be a big improvement (CB-20s + A5 have a rather nice sound, but bass is pretty boomy-in a bad way- clarity is not great and midrange is rather indifferent), I am a musician and listen mostly to jazz and classical (some rock and electronic too) so detail and warmth (specially in the mids) is very desirable. Feel free to comment on speaker choice around this price
Oh, the room is bit bigger than 4x4, high ceiling..
Thanks a lot!
