Hi there!!

It is a pleasure to join this community. I'm pretty new in Hi-Fi world, but my interest in music is very old! Now I was finally able to start with a minimal set-up to to better enjoy this passion, and let's see what the future brings.

My top three desert island disks? Well, it’s really hard to choose only 3, but currently I would choose:

1. Fear Inoculum - Tool
2. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - The Smashing Pumpkins
3. Violator – Depeche Mode

Maybe tomorrow I will change mind!!!

Hi everyone. Glad to join you all here. I recently moved back to the UK after living abroad for many years and I’ve really started to enjoy listening to music again now that I’m living in a house rather than a city centre apartment with lots of close neighbours.

I’d say my three desert island albums would be:
- Pink Floyd - The Final Cut
- Miles Davis - A Tribute To Jack Johnson
- Benjamin Britten - War Requiem (the wonderful Decca recording conducted by Britten himself)

Welcome! You're now one ahead of me in the 40 years -or my 2-integrated amps-based systems with a few occasionally changed components -though also still using an only-second CD player/changer.

Hi, I'm Lindsay and have been a music fan since my dad introduced me to his music when I was around 11! The passion has only grown stronger and stronger, and it's almost obsessive — I love making music lists, designing themed playlists and learning about what makes the good music (to my ears) actually SOUND good: leading me to delve into both music theory and hi-fi audiophile-dom. I know I still have gotta lot to catch up on, but a recent Sennheiser 800S purchase was my starting point and has led me to here :)

My three desert island discs are definitely
1 Close to the Edge - Yes
2 Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
3 Hybris - Änglagård

Recommend prog that sounds great on hi-fi headphones!

Hi everyone. I almost chose a career in classical music (clarinet), sang opera at Covent Garden ... and played keyboards to accompany an electric violinist playing Chris de Burgh songs in a restaurant in Tirana (Albania). So my musical tastes are somewhat varied.

Only 3 albums ... well I guess it would have to be:

Marillion - The Thieving Magpie
Brahms - Ein deutsches requiem (hard to select which recording)
Pink Floyd - Echoes
Muse - Absolution

Yes I know there are 4, I will hide one inside the wrong CD case :)

I use a Brennan B3 at home as my jukebox, a Naim Muso speaker, but tend to listen on the go mostly with Focal Bathys cans and an Astell+Kern 25 MkII DAP ... still trying to work out the best connection for those two (although the wireless is pretty decent).

Hi everyone,

I have very different tastes in music... I began by listening to the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen (all three that I love very much) and other rock bands. I played some time piano, then guitar a lot, organ as well for some years. I also began to sang in different choirs, and did it for about 20 years. I had the chance to sing very nice music like the masterpieces of Bach, Haendel, but also more modern composers. I also had the chance to sing for concerts in a couple of great places. All this made me like classical music a lot.

So well, now about my three favorite disks. Hard to say, I have so much I love... For now, I will choose:

- Almost any Beatles album; let's say Rubber Soul
- The Beastie Boys - Check Your Head
- Bach - Matthäus-Passion, directed by Philippe Herreweghe

But I could add Peter Gabriel, Yes, Uriah Heep, Chopin, Mozart, Sophie Hunger (I recommand you her album The Danger of Light), Norah Jones, Glenn of Guiness, Naughty by Nature, some old jazz disks, the Golden Gate Quartet and many more.

I hope I was not too long, but here am I ;).
