And, what's with the American style dates? i.e. year - month - date. Maybe it was like that before and I never noticed...

Typed in URL (i'd need to have actually got into forums on iPad to click your link) and no, I still get offline and page not found etc.
It's still looking for the news/site-offline URL which is what we put up this morning when we took the old site down before uploading the new one. It seems to have cached that somehow and isn't clearing it.chebby said:After clearing all cookies and history on Safari on iPad Mini ...

... that is from pressing on 'forums' tab.
Thanks Chebby that's really helpful, I'll pass that on to the dev team in the morning and get them to take a look at it.chebby said:Andy, regarding the signature thing ...

... that is what I get in 'settings'. I have looked a couple of times and can't find anywhere to change signature.
(Obviously that was after clearing all cookies, cache, history, temp files etc.)
Andy Clough said:All feedback is welcome In fact, the Beta version of the new site was open for all to see on the old Forums for a couple of weeks, and the feedback then was generally positive.
We had a couple of key priorities in developing the new site: to improve site search (which was broken on the old site),
to make it quicker and easier to find the product you're looking for,
and to make the design responsive so it works as well on smartphone and tablet, which now accounts for 40% of our user traffic. A lot of users complained the old site was hard to use on mobile devices, for which it was not designed.

Just leaves the signature thing and having to do word verification checks when posting.

Who on earth made the decision to change it to this?! And why, who's supposed to benefit? I assumed I'd be writing "phone users" here, however judging by the comments so far, apparently they're not faring much better.

Can it not just be a normal forum layout like this one for example? It almost seems custom designed when perfectly adequate templates are out there being used every day?
Again, sorry for the negative tone, hopefully taken as constructive critisism. I used to visit the site daily but now it's such an odd layout I am not so sure. Sorry!
Edit: I would also add that this does not reflect the nicely layed out magazine...
Totally agree with you. Can't believe they've spent 12 whole months producing something so cluttered, unintuitive and hard to use. What a completely pointless and thoroughly disappointing exercise. That's me out.

Can you put a screen shot on to show where the signature option because I can't find it for the life of me ...
It seems a lot of you can't find the signature box, so it's top of my list to sort out with the dev team tomorrow.Series1boy said:Andy Clough said:Hi Chebby, I'm seeing the signature box in my settings (on MacBook and iPhone), but obviously you can't, which is odd.
