Watching the prices fall, but when do they hit rock bottom????

Since the 32' Super test last month I have been watching the prices of the Sony KDL-32P3020 and the Panasonic TX-32LMD70 fall. Dont like the box the Sony is in so the Panasonic looks like the one. This is now down to £449.50 in a store I complained about a few weeks ago.

I know the new sets are round the corner so:

Does the £449.50 represent 'as good as it gets', or could it ever be cheaper? (im sure someone here has an idea of margins)

Are any of the new 80 sets anywhere near this price?

Is the LXD70 ever likely to drop to £500? (all about the margin I guess)

£449 looks a great price regardless of the new 80 sets round the corner?

Hard to predict. Retail margins on flatscreen TVs are pretty tight as things stand, although with new model ranges on the way you're right, good discounts are to be had on the old models.

Given that the price we quoted for the Pana is £600, £449 seems like a pretty good deal to me.

And given your review of the Panasonic, its a great TV too!

I guess its unlikely something better is round the corner for the same money??

I should get right in there!
