Hi Jason,

Does the SKYHD box not get hot on top of the amp? Fan would be working overtime on there I would have thought?

I asked about your speakers as I wanted to sell my 601's which have now been sold. Just awaiting payment...

Iv got myself a new TV Stand now for it all to fit on, Ill take some new pictures as soon as i get the centre speaker in the next 2 weeks 🙂
 
Its getting goood... The pioneer screen will look superb mounted on those white walls. Were you planning on that btw? I always find its awkward putting a centre speaker on a rack if you have a TV on the top. Even if theres enough room amongst your equipment, its too low.
 
Just a quick update , Im getting the B&W Centre speaker on Friday ,

Maybe you guys could advise me on witch Receiver to get ? Denon 1909 , Onky or maybe wait for the new Pioneer range ?........... Im really not sure , I just want a Receiver that will give these speakers some nice bass and sound clear.

Ill take some picture on Friday as i now have a TV Stands that will be used for Sky HD and PS3 Only and the Centre Speaker will lie on the Top. Im going to get another stand for the Receiver to sit on .
 
If you can stretch Jason, I'd try and get an audition with the Onkyo 875 given the price it's going for at the moment - I have the same B&W 685 setup (with M1 rears) and my 905 sings with them so I'm pretty sure the 875 will match them nicely too. (Obviously audition first - don't just take my word for it!)
 
ok ill have a listen to the Onk & Denon and see if one is better than the other 🙂 ...... I had to place an order for the B&W centre speaker and it wont be in stock till Tue / Wen . So will take some pictures as soon as i get it, Cheers .

One thing i did notice the guy advised me to go with the 2 Way B&W speaker thats priced at £250. He said thier is 3 Way but said this would be for really big rooms , like 8Meters x 8 ect.
 
That'll be the HTM61 then. It is preferable for bigger rooms, but is perfectly at home in smaller rooms. It has the FST driver found on higher end B&W's though, I'm not sure why the salesman advised you to go for HTM62, but it is a fine speaker .
 
Ok guys iv got the HTM62 Centre and also a new Stand. Its starting to come together nice now.

I know lol , Iv been trying to look for a nice Black Rack online to fit in the right corner of my room , but iv not found one yet 🙁 Any good ones you could recommend to me ?

I would have put it on the TV Stand but it does'nt Fit.
 
Well there's the obvious choice, Atacama Equinox...

Why not put it on that rack though, shirley that just means buying long, expensive cables?ÿ
 
Well i could maybe put the Sky HD and PS3 At the Bottom and put the Centre Speaker in the Middle and then have the Denon on Top. ill give it ago and take a picture and you tell me what you think.

The only other option is for me to have the Centre speaker hooked up above the wall on one of them floating Shelfs maybe ? / Because if i put the Centre in the middle its going to be to low down.

Doesn't the Denon fit in the middle? You really should have the hub in the midst of it all.
 
It doesnt fit 🙁 only thing i could do is buy i better Stand 🙂 or maybe put the Receiver on Top as it will fit there , and then get the centre speaker on the wall.
 
If it means having the TV on top of the receiver, that's not going to be a good idea either as it will block the cooling vents. Think your best bet would be to look a for a stand which will you allow you to fit your receiver in on one of the shelves as putting the receiver on another stand in the corner will mean long, expensive cables between the sources and it and then it and the TV...

M1's are small 'style' speakers that are very good and usually form part of the 'style' speaker packages from B&W.

Im not getting the M1 as the Rears , Going to get the B&W 686's Next month to go as the Rears , Then after that i need to get a new stand and then Pioneer 5090. Hoping to get it all done by xmas , Been doing loads of overtime at work so should get it all done in time i hope , If i dont then the last items i get will be the Sub and new Receiver. As im happy with the sound im getting from the Denon 1507 at the moment.
 
Re the problem with the stand have you thought about wall mounting the 5090?
 
Hi ya mate yes the Pioneer 5090 will be wall mounted , Im going to get it from Tlcbroadcast for 2,300 with 5 Year Warrantry , best price iv seen with the warrantry at moment, Im still saving up for it as its expensive , to tell the truth it will be the most expensive item i have ever purchased 🙂 Ill Try and get it before Xmas , It sholdnt be No later than Jan 2009 , Ill keep you all updated, Iv also got £2000 Pc on the other side of the Room that iv not showen in the pictures yet , But im saving that for when i have it all done and will show you all 360 View of my Room , Im really looking forward to when it will all be done, Ill keep you updated

Just to let you all know im going to Mod the speaker stands and Spray them mat Black and then Gloss them , I think there look better if they match the speakers,

I already have with the Denon 1507 , I listen to Music from Youtube and Radio 1 , But yes when i get Denon 1909 this will be connected to PC 🙂
