I was thinking it would be a great idea to show you all me building my Home Theater system over the next 3-4 Months . . . . . . . .

To Start with im going to show you some picture's of my current system i have.

My Current Setup :

Denon 1507
HP w2207 22-inch Widescreen Flat Panel
KEF PSW 2010 Sub
Montior Audio BR2 Fronts
Monitor Audio BRLCR
PS3

The System im going to Build & Design:

Pioneer 5090
Onkyo TX-SR875
B&W 685 Theatre ( All in Black )

White or Black Cabinet
Walls to be painted all white

Ill be getting the Pioneer 5090 Plasma First then the rest 🙂 Ill upload more pics asap. Thanks









 
Very interesting TV stand there Mate, are You not worried about it all going T##ts up at high volume?

Just out of interest why the choice of the Sony reciever?

thats just what i thought! Hope there's going to be a nice rack in there somewhere.
 
The KEF Sub is rubbish to tell the truth and even at Full Volume wouldnt make the speaker or Monitor Move 🙂 ,
I was thinking about just getting the Sony Receiver since im only after the True HD Sound and thats it really mate , Also its Black so will look good , Im going to stick with the PS3 as the main source at the moment as i do watch alot of Blu-Rays from Love-Film.com and im very happy with the Quality i get from it , I also play Fifa 2008 and Grandtheft Auto IV on it aswell. I may look at upgrading to a Standalone Blu-Ray player at somepoint , Im pritty sure if i do it will be one of the new Pioneer Models ,

If you guys can give me some Ideas at what Receiver you think i should get or Blu-Ray player then please say so and ill look in to it. Ill be happy to pay anything up to around say £1000 on each item.

Im just aiming to get it done by the end of the year with say £700 - 800 Budget each month.

Ok im starting the painting Today 🙂 Walls going all White.
 
You can save some money by avoiding the PV1. Overpriced. And it certainly wont support your screen 😉
 
Im not sure what you mean Frog when you say Support the screen ? Do you mean the PV1 will Break it ? If not the PV1 what Sub do you think i should get ? B&W to match the set , Just so you know i like Good Base in Films . The Explosions have to stand out !

The PV1 is undoubtably a good sub, but you can get a whole lot more for the money. Look at the BKElectronics range...You will get far bigger explosions for less money 😉

Iv finished paiting the walls all white , ill upload a picture tomorrow.

I like the idea of showing us from the start. I have to say though that's the first time I've seen a centre speaker dwarf the screen!

As for subs, try the RSW12 - you will buy it!
 
Hi guys i have managed to paint my walls all White ! ........ What a nightmare it was trying to make sure my carpet didnt get any paint on it , All good fun. But im liking the new Look, What do you think ?













A picture of me Flexing 🙂 ....... Its sometimes agood idea to see who your talken to , now you all know 🙂 .... Anyway hope you like the new pictures . Should be getting the Stand next.

 
Good stuff with the painting i hate doing furnished rooms. Also what size is your room ?

Duuuuuuuuuuuuude! What about the PV1!!!

A white PV1 in your room will look as perfect as Angelina Jolie in a leather cat-suit!!

I don't doubt that you can probably get similar performance for less, but the PV1 is still an excellent subwoofer.
 
Na im not going to get the PV1 mate , I dont Fancy spending £950 on a Sub to tell the truth 🙂
 
Went and had a watch and listen today off this Dream setup im building , I was Blown away

The Pioneer 5090 is just about Amazing , Put a really big smile on my face , Looks Gorgeous , Had a listen to the B&W speakers aswell , Very nice sound from them , I really cant wait , Im going to sale my Car so i can get the Pioneer 5090 , No Joke 🙂
 
Hi guys , Some more pictures for you all to see !

I have got my HD installed Today , Also went and got the B&W 685 🙂

Will be getting the B&W Centre Speaker next and then After that getting the Pioneer 5090 , Around End Sept / Oct . Should get the Whole system done by Xmas . Thats the plan anyway , Enjoy the new pictures and please comment or advise me on things i should do , Cheers Jason















 
Hi ya mate i had to relist it because Ebay didnt like the fact that i put on there that the buyer would have to pay the Paypal Fees , So they Canceled it ,
 
Iv changed my mind about the Receiver im going to get , Im going to get one of the new Pioneer ones when they get released. , Going to be getting the B&W Centre Speaker in the next couple days. Also the KEF Sub has been sold on Ebay.
