warner brothers hd discs exchange for bluray in us

I have just spotted on a bluray release site that in april warner brothers have offered to exchange their HD discs for the same bluray ones in America. Has this been offered to the uk buyers?

Why would you want to? Ok if your player is dead.

Sounds like sales are not going as hoped. Still buying HD DVDs as i find ones i want for a few $ each.

Not that I'm aware of. Noticed at the weekend that HMV are still selling a (small) selection of HD DVD discs next to their Blu-rays.
