wall mount, weight or size?!

Hi all. I have a 40 inch 15kg TV, mounted on a flat wall mount, which on the box is suitable for 26-50" TVs, max 30kg. I would like to buy a new 55 inch 15kg TV (same VESA measurement) - do I need a new wall mount? It's 5 inches too big, but still half the max weight! Bit stuck and don't know what to do - all opinions welcome 🙂 Thank you in advance.

I'm no expert but I would have thought the weight it can support is much more important than the screen size of the TV

I'm far less of an expert, and I would have thought similarly. Has anyone else actually followed through and mounted a bigger TV than suggested successfully?
