VSX-LX51 or LX52? Decisions, decisions

Hi.

I can get a Pioneer VSX-LX52 for 900 GBP or the VSX-LX51 for 750 GBP as part of a custom install. This would go with a set of Anthony Gallo speakers (which I know have never been reviewed here).

The VSX-LX52 sports 5 HDMI in and 2 HDMI out (only using one at a time).

The VSX-LX51 only sports 3 HDMI in and 1 HDMI out.

Is it worth spending that 150 GBP extra on the VSX-LX52? Are there better amps for this kind of money? Is this VSX-LX51 offer a good deal?

Pioneer sc-lx71 on tlcbroadcast.co.uk £1100 I would suggest a much better amplifier.

Hi

The 51/52 amplifier in my opinion are way over priced. Pioneer seem to be adding £500.00 every year on their products. For £1000.00 you used to be able to buy the vsx-lx70 amplifier(replacment the sc-lx81 soon to be the sc-lx82 with another £500.00 on top.) the top of the range amplifier. Where as the vsx-lx50 was around £500.00 I noticed at clearance it even went for £200.00 on richer sounds website.

So are you willling to spend aournd £900.00 to get a way over priced amplifier or go with the sc-lx71 and get the best deal possible.
