volume issue

got the attenuators fitted thm to the power amp i can play music now at higher levels with more clarity however the bass seems reduced but not as dull as before ,i tried connecting the c370 to to the c272 variable input directly but all i got was loads of top end and no bottom whatsoever,i tried adjusting the gain on the c272 but nothing happened the sound was tinny ,so now i'm connected from c370 pre out 2 to fixed i c272 via attenuators but i can still hear music faintly through the speakers when the volume is zero

10 db i contacted rothwells and he said these would be fine

In that case my original reply stands. Your volume control does not mute fully. Just one of those things!
