Hello

i have a Pansonic tv connected to a set of Ferguson hill FH007 speakers 008 subwoofer via a single 3.5mm cable although twin phono plugs are an option

As the volume control is a manual knob on the Ferguson Hill amp and it is situated behind the tv, is it possible to control the volume via an inline volume controller like on various headphones whether it be on the 3.5mm input cable or routed onto a wall near the sofa! Or is there another device instead of the cable

So i want to move the volume control closer to the viewing sofa. Obviously i would need to set the volume on the amp quite high and then just use the inline volume controller to adjust the volume

Or is this just a totally ridiculous idea and i should stop being lazy?

Thanks

Hi,

Could you use the headphone out of the TV and use the TV remote to control the sound level?

@bigboss - The FH007 is a PC set of speakers with no remote option. (I'm not clever, I looked them up lol)

Cheers,

Cofnchtr.

Hi

I have got the cable plugged into the tv headphone socket at the moment and I am controlling it using the remote, it s just that, I have to go into the menu and sub menus everytime, which is a bit of a pain. I know my wife and daughter will not like that at all!

I just thought there may be an easier way for everybody

Could I use something like this plugged into the tv going to the amp-

Or even this seems more suitable-

Thanks to both of you
