Virgin Tivo and home cinema set up

I have a Sony KDL 37W5700 tv (4 HDMI and 1 optical out) and have just bought a Sony BVDE280 bluray home cinema system (2HDMI in, 1 out, 1 x optical in). What is the best way to connect this up with my Virgin Tivo box to get surrond sound while watching TV?

Hi Tony, and welcome to the forums.

The simplest way is to go HDMI from the TiVo to the home cinema system, then another HDMI cable from the cinema to the TV.

That's assuming you watch all your TV via the TiVo box, of course.

That's essentially my set up, and it all works well.

I will give it a go.. and yes I do watch all my tv through the tivo box
