Virgin HD V+ box to DVD recorder to PC?

Hi Guys,

I understand that it is possible to send recorded content from the Virgin V+ box to a DVD recorder to burn DVDs but is it possible to save it to the hard drive of a DVD recorder instead and then send the content to to my PC's Hard drive?

If there is a machine out there that would do this please let me know!

Or better still, is there any software (or hardware e.g. TV card) that would 'mimic' a DVD recorder and allow transfer of content directly to my PC?

Ultimately I'd like to watch recorded programmes on my iPhone which I believe would require MP4 files.

A Video/TV capture card fitted to your PC would do what you want. Dont have any specific recommendations though,as it's not something i've tried or have any interest in TBH.
