Ok have been doing some tests on the above, and recordings on the kenwood p26 turntable are better!

Maybe its the fact that the vinyl version has not been messed around with!

Maybe i should upgrade my styli-any thoughts anyone?

Although the Cyrus is still very good.

Can you still buy Vinyl?

I know HMV used to sell but dont think they do anymore

Yes. A surprising amount of new music across many genres is still released on vinyl. There are also various reissue programs and audiophile labels making classic recordings available again in new pressings.

There's the 2nd hand market too of course.

Not sure about the high street. I think some HMVs still carry a
small amout - possibly mostly singles. If you have a Fopp! near you
they usually have a vinyl section.

Despite the occasional stories
of a vinyl revival, most indie stores are struggling. The last time I
visited the various indies in Soho they felt pretty dead. I live in
Bristol where, despite a decent local music scene and two universities,
there's very little in the way of local record shopping opportunities
these days.
I get most my vinyl from the web now. There's a thread with some recommendations here: boing!
