Vintage(ish) System

I am looking to set up a 2nd system.....and feel like going for some older not too expensive seperates.....was thinking along the lines of Meridian 506.18 CDP and........amp and speakers that would partner well. My main system is valves so I like a warmish sound. I would like to do this on the cheap if possible...I have spare interconnects and speaker cable lying around so not needed. Maybe £200-£300 per componant?

You might pick up a Quad 33/303 amp/power amp, but likely you probably have to consider some kind of servicing thereafter. Likewise for a 400 series set-up.

Have a look at the Classique Sounds website, they seem to have a good selection of used gear that falls into the vintage category and are based in Leicester (I have no affiliation to said retailer). They have a downloadable pricelist on PDF too which might be handy to print out.
