Vintage HIFi for Sale - Cancer charity

I've been roped in to help a friend sell an old but excellent hi-fi system. Can anyone advise whether there are better places than eBay to flog this stuff, somewhere that a discerning buyer/collector might be shopping?

Ebay gets you exposure to the widest market, but you take the hit on the fees. You can however, I think specify your charity to receive the benefits. Gumtree is another option and has a good UK-wide option. You can check the web for a guide on what others have charged for this kind of gear before, but that may be tricky. With Gumtree, you can list the items to recieve offers instead of setting a price. This way you might get lucky and get a good offer without taking the near 10% hit on the monies raised.
