Has anyone any experience of Vincent hybrid amplifiers, models SV-226 and SV236?

They are designed in Germany and made in China, I think there is a Chinese firm's version too.

I haven't heard one, but you might get some useful info from this thread (post No.4 onwards):

I don't have any experience with the two models mentioned, however I'm using a pair of Vincent SP-997 mono power amps and I can tell you that everything about them indicates it's a quality product. They are small but heavy and very well built. Sound is excellent. Very clean and uncolored.

What I'm trying to say is that I would not hesitate buying a Vincent-product if I was you, just because it's made in China.

A lot of stuff is made in China these days and as long as the quality control is good enough (and worker health and welfare is taken care of, but that's a different story) I don't see a problem.

Best,

Henrik

I'm not put off at all by the fact they are made in China. They are a German design and from the photographs I've seen, look very well made.
