Viewing Distance

I am currently debating whether to go for 50" Pioneer instead of the 42". Can someone please tell me what the recommended viewing distance is for the 50"? Also, I would be looking to get the Pioneer 508 can anyone tell me of any goods deals, including good guarantees?

For SD, minimum distance is 3.3m, maximum is 5.6m. For HD, minimum distance is 2.2m, maximum is 4.4m.

Please remember though, these figures are just a guide. Your own preferences may differ.
