Hi,
I have a very strange problem with the volume level in one speaker when adjusting the balance control on my amp and would like some guidance.
The system I have is a NAD 314 amp, Q Acoustic 1010i speakers and AudioQuest FLX/SLiP speaker cable.
I've recently moved all of my hifi into another room and set it up again, but for some reason the volume in one speaker is very very low when I adjust the balance onto one speaker (always balance to the right). If I adjust the volume really high and low again the speaker volume sometimes bursts into life, but mostly no effect. If I adjust the balance to the left there are no problems. I've tried replacing the speaker cable with some older ones I have but there's no difference.
It sounds like the problem is pointing at my amp, as it is 15+ years old. Any suggestions? Does the amp just need a really good clean, or has something blown inside?
Thanks, Mark
