I am new to Home Cinema and solving my own problems slowly!

I have an Onkyo 705 connected to a Panasonic 32LDX TV via HDMI

Also connected Panasonic Blu Ray via HDMI

Panasonic SKY box connected Scart to composite

Panasonic VCR FJ780 via composite to composite

Panasonic CD and Panasonic Tape both via composite

All works fine until I look at the VCR menu's ie programme timer, then the picture scrolls down the page! I have tried Scart to composite and Scart to SVideo. I dont think I can alter the resolution and dont want to go back to Scart to scart (AV) on my TV

Can you help?

Als my Onkyo fan is noisy (whining) and can be heard above normal viewing, air gap above is 18cm, is this normal?

VCR - check at its picture setting, whether you are using PAL or NTSC

Noisy Fan - The AC power cooling fan is normally a bit noisy. For this reason, I use a computer fan which consumes 12V DC plugged to an AC-DC adaptor. Choose the adaptor which is designed suit with receiver's AC outlet.
