Some of the valve amps I've own have sounded amazing with certain tracks and so so with others that's what I'm expecting but it's a really good xd player so should sound good

Yep, valve stuff can be marmite affairs. They major in certain areas but not in others. Realism is hard to match with any SS amps, with a silky presentation.

Where valve stuff does fall short is with top end roll off and doesn't have crisp sound of a well sorted SS amp.

The only area of concern is your Lintons veer on the smooth side as does valve sources, and this could stifle Leemas natural presentation.

I think you're right with the top end roll off but bottom end sounds so good with valves and I think the Linton's days are numbered
I suppose LFs is down to personal taste. Personally like a taut, agile and well defined LFs, something Leema delivers well.

The combo may well sing with the Lintons, as with my TB2s I never heard the Tucana's full potential.

Valves are something we used to use before the transistor was invented. Using them now is like going back to driving a horse and cart and claiming it's better.
