USB inputs. Which format is best?

I have a DM37, and one of the reasons I chose it was because it has a USB input which I use quite a lot. I find it very useful to be able to drop music, that I'm not certain about, onto a memory stick and play it through the HiFi before I decide if I'll burn it or not.

Having just read the Group test in latest WHF it shows that the Arcam Solo Mini, Marantz CR502, DM37, and I should imagine most other all-in-ones, support MP3 files up to 320kbps and WMA up to 192kbps when utilizing the USB input.

So my question is, which of these formats is the best to use for music quality?
