Hi Guys, Need help, My TV is doing this.... see pics below...

No its not a rubbish camera, my tv looks like this! It looks abit like when u lower the colour setting on your PC to 16 colours? this has just happened today and is the same on Sky, 360, dvd, blueray and the build in freeview. I have turned it on and off, unplugged and replugged in HDMI's and all over cables. Please help ASAP 40" Samsung LCD about 3 years old. The worst thing is i was talking to my wife today about buying a new TV, how can I convince her I didn't break ours!!

Hey mate, That looks bad I would suggest you first try a factory reset and a software update worth a shot! Also worth getting it looked at but that is not cheap these days!!!!

Tried the settings and resetting, nothing.

For some reason i turned it on today and its fine??? no idea what was wrong but i think it might be on its way out.

Let me know if anyone else has any ideas why it did this.

If your wife hasn't seen the problem. If it happens again blame her. Play around at the back of the tv. Say there is nothing you can do. You'll be all clear then to get a new tv.

Seriously it looks like a bad problem especially if you can't get parts for it. Its "posterising" the picture. Something to do with a video card, maybe a dry joint ( not cannabis!) or a single component faulty. TVs are so complex you couldn't fix it yourself except if you can find a way into it to take out any electronic cards and re insert them in case it is just a dirty edge connector. Maybe just knock it on the cabinet and see if it comes and goes....not too hard though.
