I am thinking of upgrading my power cables but have some questions before i buy,

Which of my kit should i upgrade

Samsung TV - fixed cable so cant upgrade

Sky HD - is it worth bothering

Denon 4308a amp

Denon 3800BD

B&W ASW610XP Sub

I am also using a Lindy 6 way mains conditioner

Which power cables would you advise on purchasing. I read in the what hifi review that any kit over £1500 you should purchase the more expensive products (£120 ish) but this looks like it could get costly.

If you know a shop that will let you borrow cables to experiment then try their recommendations otherwise stick to cables which offer a no quibble money back guarantee such as Clearer Audio

I totally recommend the Chord Power Chords after doing side by side tests with Clearer Audio Copper-Line Alpha (£35) and Chord Superscreen (£60).

I bought a few via ebay as they are normally £130 per metre, but also Hifix has an offer on for new ones recently for £60. I think they have stopped it now.

Biggest improvement came from my Marantz CD63 KI Cd player........but good improvements were made to all, including SQ from freeview tuner in DVD recorder.......

Saying that watch out for the sub. The PowerChords and superscreen gave way too much deep bass from the sub, IMO, so I left an Alpha on it which blends in perfectly.....
