Hi.

I woudl like to change my old 25+ year old Amp Technics SU-V45A Class AA VC-4, 100Watts x 4 channels.

I run Wharfedale Valdus 400 speakers at the moment and i woudl like to try and create a tighter more balanced sound form them, as i experinced a few years back on a friends Arcam Alpha Amp. about 8 years ago..

I dont want to spend more than £350 if worth the money - I was recommended to stay in the 100w per channel in order to run my speakers. The Marantz at £270 was going in my head - but i really want improvement and woudl love tro have your recommendations to change and upgarde this very old amp that has and still serves me well.

Many thx

ben.

After more research i found an ARCAM DiVA A65+ for £225 - that is 9 months old - when the Marantz PM6002 if £229 best price - which woudl run my Wharfedale Valdus 400s best.

There also plenty of Arcam Alphas, 8, 9 and 10 goign on Ebay under £200.. as i heard the DiVA series of Arcam were not built as well as the olf Alpha series..

anyone with input on the above would be greatly appreciated..

thx

ben.
