Upgrades for Denon DP300F?

We don't listen to a lot of vinyl nowadays, mostly hi-res streaming, but like to have a modest turntable for when the mood strikes. Are there any easy upgrades I could do to a Denon DP300F to get the best out of it? I'm thinking cartridge/stylus, mat, belt... It's not something I know anything about, so a new cartridge, for example, would need to be more or less a straight swop ( I can manage rebalancing and could probably do alignment if I get a protractor, I'd rather not do rewiring if I can avoid it...). So far I've read good things about Ortofon Red 2M?

I'm using an amp with a dedicated MM phono input so MM makes most sense.

As Al says. However, if you want to stick with your current Denon then a cart change to the 2M Red or one of the cheaper AT carts might offer an improvement in sound. Wouldn't concern myself with mats or belts, the most significant change will always come from a better cartridge.
