upgrade rotel ra 06

Hi

I have the rotel RA 06 amp + B&W CM 7.

I am very pleased with the sound!

Yet, I would like to upgrade the amp. What are the possibilities?

Can I use the RA 06 as a preampliflier?

What is the best solution.

I am new in this area so thanks for response.

If you like the sound, get a Rotel RB-06 to biamp the CM7s.

I used to have the Rotel RA03 and added a Netaudio upgraded Quad 405 MK3 DMPSU and simply used the Rotel as a pre. Worked very well and cost me £500 in total. Just one option of many!

Thanks for responding.

Although RB 06 is still on the site of Rotel, it is not for sale anymore in Belgium.

I am thinking to use the RA 06 as a pre and get the RB-1582 as an endamp.

Would this work?

Yes, you can use the RA06 as a pre and the RB-1582 as power. I would look to finding a better pre in the near future though because I found the RA03 (same as RA06 pretty much) to be a bit rubbish in these duties.
