Hi Guys,
Just to say a big thank you for the posts and assistance with my un-educated purchase of my BD55 Blu Ray.
I've now bit the bullet and ordered;
Amp; Onkyo TX-SR606 7.1 AV Receiver (was £350) from here
Speakers; Jamo A102HCS5 5.1 Home Cinema Speaker Package 500W - Black (£200) from here
I know there are a lot of better speaker systems out there but considering my £350 purchase of the player which I thought was ready to use straight from the box has now cost me £900 in total for the three items , to say I would be pushing my luck with the missus to spend more is an understatement.
The seller I bought the amp from said that as a budget set of speakers go the Jamo ones will still be far superior to the ones from my old Panasonic DVD system and will be less likely to blow as the amp would be to powerful for the old ones.
The Amp and speakers arrive today (wednesday) so I'll let you know how I get on.
I may post back here for help and advice as to the best settings to use on the amp as I've never used one before.
Thanks again guys,
John
