I have posted on this before and have since found that my onk is firmware 1.09 (i think). I am getting screen judder (horizontal shaking or twithcing) from time to time. This is acceptable to a dgree. But today it seems worse than ever and is constant! It used to fix itself with a simple switch on and off a few times, but its doesnt seem to be helping this time round. I have tried changing the picture quality from fil to auto to video ect and that doesnt seem to help.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

hmmm, ive changed the HDMI to different HDMI inputs and its the same. I have no problems with the blu ray player or any other input (xbox 360). I can only imagine its something to do with the lameness of Virgin +!

I recently bought an 876 and have noticed an ever so slight "judder" as described with the V+ box, but only with the Virgin OSD (ie when using the menu, etc). It is ever so slight - hardly discernable to the naked eye, but the brain is certainly picking it up - if that makes any sense!

just tried the v+ straight into the tv and its fine, and have tested all HDMI inputs on the onk and they are fine with all sources but the v+. I will try having a play around anyway.

Another black mark for virgin.

Thanks

edit: seems to be a little more stable with virgin box set to 720p

Its the onkyo not correctly dedecting the right kinda of input eg video or film! next time you see it go into the display menue by pressing the display button on the remote for ten seconds then scroll down until you see picture mode then change to to video from auto.

Right royal pain i know but they all do from time to time its just that you need keen eyes to spot it, my wife cant see it but it drives me potty somtimes

Will give that a try, cheers!

To my detrament i do have ultra keen eyes, but the mrs has noticed it today too so its pretty bad.

So you leave it on video do you? and you have your virgin box on 720?

Cheers

not sure what a dropped frame looks like to be honest! lol

the whole picture is twitching probably more regularly than 10 seconds......

Im perplexed a little coz your the first person ive come across that changing the picture mode to video hasnt worked for! Its an issue that been widely disscussed on some other forums it works on mine when i get the judders! Could be a differnt problem that your having.

If youve got pleanty of time have a look around the interweb the 905 owners forum theres plenty about the 905 and 875 judder problem but beware theres quite literally thousands of posts to hunt through
