hi what hifi peeps you have the marantz cd6002 pg 23 as the best buy cd olayer between 250-350 sheets, but no best of the rest for this price category. on the next page best of the rest 350 -500 sheets but no best buy. what i would like to know is if this is just a double typo (which i suspect) and supposed to be 250-500 for both of them, if not i'll be expecting the missing pages in the post!!!!!!!! what i really want to know is the 270 marantz really better than the 350 pioneer??? cheers

If the WHF marketing team is anything like where I used to work and there are omission errors or any kind of error, the graphic designer(s) would have blamed the copywriter(s), the latter would have swore they supplied all the signed-off copy to the designer(s) and the printers would have pointed their finger at the proof-reader(s) who signed off the proofs.

Re your other point, I don't think a higher price is always an indication of a better product. For example, the new Aurousal A1 Mk2 speaker has shot up to £645 a pair from £450 for the Mk1. It is not necessarily any better than speakers costing a third of that price.

Strangely we don't have a marketing team, and if we did have they wouldn't be involved in this Forum or indeed the magazine.

Ultimate Guides Editor Kerr is flat-out getting the next one to press, but he'll be along later with a fuller explanation. The short version? It's a simple mistake, and the whole section should have been 'strapped' £250-500.

I have the Aurousal A1 Mk2 and must disagree with this. I have not heard such a realistic and coherent sound elsewhere - full of body and musical detail. All the reviews suggest it is a vast improvement on the Mk1, but then I rarely take reviews that seriously anyway - listening is such a personal experience.
