He played Scarlatti on a piano and not harpsichord or cembalo, otherwise no loudspeaker how ever amazing would interest me listening without yawning. But yes, he really is a very virtous player.

Sudbin mentiones he likes how recording technology has advanced and how much more details can be heard and appreciated on CDs versus live events. That is my experience as well. A lot more nuances are preserved and finer edges of the performers character exposed.
