Hi there,

i am getting delivery of my Equipment this week and from my current set-up the centre speaker is a problem...

Is there any reason why I cannot put the TV pedestal on top of the speaker? obviously will protect the speaker with a cloth, but will this hinder the sound in anyway or will it be ok if it works?

Thank you

ben,

I'd be very nervous of putting 27 Kg worth of TV on top of my centre speaker personally. Also, I'd be very nervous of the TV falling off the speaker!

It's not something I would personally do!

thank you for your opinion, i think its the weigth that worries me the most if it will be ok... , the stand/speaker match perfectly in size for it to stay sturdy, my current stand cant accomodate the centre.

Only alternative i can do is TV on speaker or have the centre on its side by the the TV until i change the TV stand, but not sure having the centre on the side of the TV will work..

I believe you can get a frame, that you bolt on to the tv's wall mounting holes, especially designed to hold smaller center speakers. Or maybe make something like that yourself?

The other option is to get a little stand to place your TV on top, leaving space beneath to accommodate your centre speaker.

I got mine from Nolte Mobel.

Thx to all.

Your idea is what i was looking at in or order to raise the TV with a stand riser, however i need a clearnace of 180mm for the speaker and a load weight of at least 27KG. So far the best i found is here but just short on size...

If anyone has somewhere to get a stand riser of at least 500mm x 300mm x 180mm that would be amazing :)

thx

Hi to all,

I have built my own TV Riser all in for £28. Ikea legs as suggested, black satin paint, sand paper and a brush and here is the result.. :) and my full system with better pictures:
