... by a whole £3!

And as long the BBC spend the money on more high quality HD programs (if possible with Sir David commenting on them) then it's ok by me.

So thats about £2.74 per week.

I'm probably in a minority of one but if I would like to see more funding for the BBC to compete better with Sky and bring some much needed competition and therefore better pricing.

I would have preferred better use of existing funds, too many exorbitant salaries, to much soap and reality TV, this alone makes it expensive for my money.

Actually Andrew did a post recently of what it's spent on, and it's the complete opposite to what you'd think - ie a certain Mr Ross is cheap

I didnt bother renewing my tv licence at the end of feb, it coincided with both my pvr playing up even more and the indoor booster ariel giving up the ghost.

I have to say i really haven't missed it. Other than the endless QI and Friends and Never Mind the Buzzcocks reruns in the evenings as i fell asleep i didn't really watch it. The only other thing is the saturday morning kitchen (and the sunday program).

Not really worth the fee IMO. Although without it i couldn't then have bought the Attenborough programs in DVD.
