I currently have a Panasonic Vierra LCD TV, Freesat, which still has a good picture and must be over 15yrs old.
It is a 32 inch screen and located on a corner unit in my living room. I am consudering a new TV for a superior picture, although I only watch minimal TV.
I am reluctant to buy a TV larger than 32 inches because on one wall the screen will be partly obscured by the edge of my turntable wall bracket and near the other wall is one of my hi-fi speakers and stands. Both were professionally installed and placed by my independent dealer.
Although I have a largish living room, only one end, due to the layout, is suitable for a TV.
I am not a great lover of TV's fixed to a wall as they expose the cabling.
Also, if I buy a Freely TV, that may feel a step down in terms of channels/options from Freesat. I understand from the local independent TV dealer that some people are not impressed with Freely and the best tech tends to be in the larger televisions.
Also, I have read that the Govt. may close Freesat in a few years time.
Can 32 inch TVs produce pictures as good as larger sets?
With many TVs being much larger, who else here has a 32 in set as their only/main one.
