TV/AV rack AVR shelf clearance

Hi,

Just looking to buy a TV/AV stand for my system and am wondering what clearance height I should allow for an AVR to allow good air circulation? A B&W HTM62 (170mm tall) will be on the shelf above.

Your AVR's manual should detail this. I know the manual for my AVR states there should be 10cm clearance; though to be honest it's difficult to find a TV stand that offers this kind of headroom and space for a large centre speaker.

I've been on the lookout for something similar for quite a while. My current rack leaves 5cm headroom for my AVR, which isn't ideal, but then I don't drive my system too hard.
