G'day,

I already have a Denon AVR-X1000 amp [ without phono ] with Castle Knight 2 speakers, and I have bought a second hand Technics SL- B21 turntable and a Marantz PM-310 amp [ with a phono connection] . Can I connect the turntable, through the Marantz amp, to the Denon via the input phono connections, media player or CBL/Sat. to avoid yet more speakers. If not is there any other way to avoid having 2 separate systems

All advice [ good or bad ] much appreciated.

Connecting the turntable to the Marantz phono input and then connect the tape 'rec out' of the Marantz to a line in on your Denon.

Or a dedicated phono stage would be much a much more compact solution than having another integrated amp just for it's phono stage.

thanks Meanand,

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to reply.

I am reluctant to buy a pre-amp as I already have the Marantz so I'll try your suggestion [ I can always hide the Marantz ] .
