Hi there,

lets say I've got like a 1000£ turntable, how much would the needle, the phono amp, a pre amp with an end amp and a pair of speakers cost or what would be the ratio/persentage of the turntables price to spend on each of the components.

Sorry if my English isn't that great, it's not my main language.

Nice greetings from Austria

It's really not quite as simple as that, everything is subjective and different people would allocate different amounts on each component piece.but here's what I'd probably spend on each item with a 1k turntable.phono stage £400-£650,Amplifier £1200 and upwards,or pre and active speaker combo is also an option but wouldn't like to set a budget on these items as I'm not familiar with them.then passive speakers probably anything from around £750 and upwards(preferably at the upwards end).A 1k turntable would also require a decent cartridge to do it any justice so I'd be looking at £250-£500.so I'd say on the end of a 1k turntable you'd be looking at least a 2.5k spend.hay! but that's just me.Also after that you have the various cables and a decent equipment support for that turntable,oh dear it keeps going up and up and up.lol.

Thanks,

ya it realy does not seem that easy but I realy appreciate your answer. By the way do you know any Amp in this price range (like I dont know the Cambridge CXA80 maybe or any other).

Thanks anyway

Greetings from Austria

Well I'm sure the Cambridge is a fine amp,but if I was spending around £700 on a amp now I'd be over on eBay and hitting the bin button on a Creek destiny (refurbished with a 2 year warranty)£700.I haven't even heard it but is so well regarded that it wouldn't worry me one bit.
