I currently have a DENON AVR-X2600H Receiver and a TEAC Double Cassette Deck W-1200 and I am struggling how to connect both devices. Please can anyone help?

You may not have a tape monitor loop, which is ideally what you need.

Does the receiver have line out sockets? However, if you’re only playing existing tapes (rather than recording) then the outputs from the cassette machine can go to any auxiliary or CD input on your Denon.

If yours is similar to this 2800 model then there’s an aux and a CD input that will work for replaying cassettes.

No fixed level output though, so recording may be tricky.

Looking at those connections and assuming the OP's are similar, there is a pre out which while not as good as a fixed output could be used for recording. It would need to have the volume on the receiver set to probably a middle level and the recorder making final adjustment. Some experiment with adjusting both settings should find a suitable compromise.

That is a workaround I agree. I was waiting for clarification first...
