Transcoding DLNA servers for Ubuntu?

I've got a few DLNA servers on my Ubuntu box, but I now find that my Panasonic DVD player (that can act as a DLNA client) is very fussy when it comes to formats - so I think I need to use a server that can transcode - eg. from .mov to .mp4

Any suggestions? I was wondering about the minidlna-transcode project. Not sure about Plex.
