After many trials and errors over the past 6 months, I've settled (for now) on a Rega based system:

rega dac + rega mira 3 + rega rs5.

everything is still burning in, and sounding better daily.

Now all you need is a decent source, i.e. a turntable. Might I suggest a Rega P3-24 with a Rega Elys cartridge?

Hmm..

Chord Co. actually. And don't get me started on comparing cables. (or are you, in fact, teasing me?).

Talking about synergy: the bass goes much deeper with my current setup than with the nait xs. I'm sure the nait xs is a 'better' amp, but synergy trumps greatness in individual components.
