Could be why I am a big advocate of certain isolation products - if its humming its vibrating - humming loudy enough to hear = lot of vibration - something to think about

As you know I use Isotek Titan and Nova conditioners but they make zero difference to the 50hz hum, but they don't block DC.

I have an old Lynwood 1500 va isolation transformer knocking about so I might try that on one monoblock to see if it goes away or reduces it, but the irony is that even isolation transformers hum a bit. *unknw*

Be good to hear what happens with the amplifier running off the transformer, my experience is that a proper isolating TRX can be very beneficial in these circumstances.

I was going to suggest trying this to BS, but I have no idea how to get hold of a suitable device to try. Tool hire shops offer 'safety transformers' which should offer complete isolation but this is not really an area of expertese.

I should pop round with a Syncro and see if it does - be intersting hear how you have things now.

We have probably have each to blame for the DC - 100 audio transformers in under a mile lol

I checked with Yamaha tech today they said it’s normal for a bit of hum coming from this type of power supply so that’s ok as it doesn’t effect the sound or comes though the speakers so happy days
