I have often found that breathing deeply around some of the solvents mentioned above can inprove the sound of youe system quite significantly.

It wll definitely sound better and that is without even turning it on......

Me too, but I find that after you wake up, the drool stain on the carpet can take a while to clean up... :eek:utcold:

Wooden floors so no problem.....

This is however a serious subject (probably for another thread), your mood and possible 'altered mental state' makes a huge difference to how good your hifi sounds.

Oh yes... :flower:

Get into the 'right state of mind', make yourself comfortable and pop on Dark Star, preferably the version recorded in Wigan (yes that Wigan) in 1972.... :rockout:

Speaking postioning is everything. Experiment. Then experiment some more. Don't be scared to try some angles last seen on a 1974 Austin Maxi

Experiment with surfaces. Moving my separates from a solid wooden floor to a wooden table on a rug on said wooden floor varied things dramatically. Experiment like a 1970's hippy. Try everything

Shut your curtains. Turn off all lights. Hear things improve dramatically

Avoid cheese and milk. These can clog your eustachian tubes and reduce clarity and bass
