I'm just saying this because 1 year or so ago, I heard the older micro denon paired with 9.0 diamonds, and there was some kind of aura to the sound that anoyed me.If you have the choice to listen to both simultaneously it would be better

Tis all too late, the order has been placed as per my post 3 or 4 back.

I looked and saw that not only do the Warfs have a wider range but they are also described as 'warm' and well rounded here.

Also, I really liked the look of them.

Plus, with the Denon having 30watts per ch it should be able to drive them well.

Hope I was right but I am sure it will be better than what we have.

ear:on the speakers very good choice. What kind of Aiwa do you have?

Hi

Its a big metal box, double cassette decks reversible etc both now broken.

Record player, big CD player (skips loads now)

And FM/MW radio, hardly ever used.

Then two very large speakers with three units in each.

Was about £500 20 years back.

Also has DSL and BBE functions and input for sing through.

Cheers

Wow and double wow!

All the bits arrived Tuesday afternoon, not bad having been ordered Sunday evening!

I think this is probably my very first 'HiFi' and as such I had no idea just how good it was going to sound.

I am soooo glad I went for the 9.1s they are perfect.

My wife is a semi pro singer and has recorded a number of disc's, when we played them back on this new system it was the first time we had heard it sound like that since the studio where they were made

So anyway, a big thanks to all who helped me and those who posted questions similar in the past, I would have been lost without this forum.

In an attempt to show what happened and maybe to assist others in the future I have put together this YouTube of the whole experience

Thanks again

Hey everyone! I just discovered that the speaker terminals are wired up wrong in the unit! left has been swapped with right.
Not a big problem to sort out but I think its very slap dash of Denon!
