Does anyone else find that using Tidal and CarPlay will only ever pull the first few hundred songs from a larger playlist and the shuffle feature is so weak you really will be listening to almost the same 20 tracks over and over!?

I like Tidal for the sound quality at home, but all the other services they offer suck. In the car I stick to Spotify. They have much better options and much better curated playlists. And unless you have a silent car like a Rolls-Royce, there's too much noise in a car to hear the difference between Spotify and Tidal.

Just create new playlists from your one big one? I've used Tidal in the car with no problem, plus you can download in full quality.

Agreed, but buying into an additional service when the existing one should be getting it right in the first place isn’t an option for me, hoping that the more people who discuss it might push them to sort it out.

I get that, but like the above, other apps function flawlessly In car, there’s no reason as to why, with the right feedback Tidal can’t sort this out. Then there’s no need for workarounds.
I want to stick with Tidal and provide that loyalty but they owe it back by taking onboard feedback to make their services even better. (They owe that to all their customers)

And yes I have gone through their feedback process on this.

I agree, their Windows/desktop app also needs improvement.

I have been trying to drag myself away from Spotify for ages. Not least because of the lack of action on the HiFi quality front. I have a multi month trial with Tidal and the sound quality and some aspects of the service as awesome.

But it pales in comparison in the car to Spotify and the lack of casual integration to Alexa outside of the US after all this time is unforgivable. Spotify Connect does things much better and more elegantly than Tidal Connect too. It is such a shame. On my home hi-fi... it sounds fantastic. But too many negatives.

Unfortunately I only run Tidal after recently moving away from Spotify after purchasing a streamer to reap the benefits of its quality.
One thing I do really miss too is the way Spotify gets you listening to new music and coming across new artists and genres is great too!

Having podcast access on Spotify is also a massive plus.
I feel like if Tidal doesn’t sort their stuff out, the second (a big IF and WHEN it does) Spotify goes lossless Tidal will likely lose a very large portion of its members.
