THX Mode

Hi,

I have a Panasonic TH42G20 and notice that if I select the THX mode on the picture settings the actual picture zooms out and allows me to see more of a picture (ideal for films), if I then select Normal, Cinema or Game mode the picture zooms in and I lose a little of the picture. I was wondering if there was a setting I have missed so that it can be set on the Normal mode as well. Any ideas? Its a bit of a pain as I like THX mode for more picture size, but sometimes I need to put the picture to Normal mode as THX is to dark. Its not a great difference but to coin a well known phrase 'every little helps!'

Isn't that picture overscan ?

Yes, I believe Stu31 is right. It might be the THX mode has another default setting for overscan than the other modes. Try checking it out.

I'd second that, it's probably picture overscan. Make sure this is switched off when watching any HD content.
