THX Certified

Hi, can someone tell me what differance a THX Certified screen makes to the picture,as the new panasonic V10 plasama has it over the other models,thanks.

There is various information HERE. Basically, a TV (or AMP etc) have to meet a strict criteria to be able to be THX Certified. Again, there is more info on the site.

Thanks messiah,so it would not make a differance to normal viewing just movies.

I expect it is just a setting that can be applied to any source, 'normal' viewing, DVD, Blu-Ray etc. So it would make a difference. Whether it was better than a standard calibrated picture would be down to the user.

I'm sure the THX certification is good for a TV but like a receiver, it is not the be-all and end-all.
