If you want a quality remote, buy Pathos. Mine has a one-piece aluminium body, with a precisely fitting, brushed stainless steel back plate, fixed with 4 stainless steel screws. it's surprisingly heavy and well finished. I've never seen another one like it.The remote control is a plastic thingy, not in keeping with the quality of the unit but does the job. The online manual gives no clue to the operational function and for a whole hour it took me to figure out how to make it work.
Similar to the SMSL remote, multi-function device which allows you to use with any of the Gustard Amp, DAC and streamers. To use the headamp, hold down the amp button for 3 seconds and then press the power button.
You only need to do this once, not unless you have other Gustard devices you wish to use. It would have been nice to have had the instruction manual included.

They look gorgeous, but I have no idea how they sound. The planar market is getting rather full these days. They make excellent headphones.
I've seen a few reviews, they compare well with the Hifiman's, Meze's etc. If you listened to a good set of planars there's no going back to dynamics! They look gorgeous, but I have no idea how they sound. The planar market is getting rather full these days.
Big call. I find it's a horses for courses approach. I have the Quad ERAs and so Pink Floyd just has to be played on them! The best one is probably Led Zeppelin's Prescence, the guitar album as Jimmy Page calls it. The Quad ERAs just separate the 7 guitar overdubs brilliantly. However, for the heavier stuff, it's the Focal Elegia that wins the day.I've seen a few reviews, they compare well with the Hifiman's, Meze's etc. If you listened to a good set of planars there's no going back to dynamics!
